Biography

From an early age, Kate Lanigan has always embraced her powerful creative flare. The 18 year old from Melbourne city can still remember at the tender age of five, she was choreographing concerts with her younger sister and performing them for their parents. Her parents supported her creativity, by enrolling her in a local dancing academy and in piano lessons. However, the commencement of her high school education proved to be a turning point in Kate’s life. With her parents experiencing financial difficulties, she has to abandon her love of dancing and music to save money for her family. At this stage in her life, she clearly understood why she had to make these sacrifices, but she is determined to get back into the artistic profession.

High school was a breeze and she loved the social calendar. Parties, boyfriends and shoppings are high on her agenda and she made many friends. Although she never bothered pursuing her creative interests outside of school, she still found the whole field very appealing. On several occasions, she was approached by scouts who advised her to enroll in modeling courses.  However, her mother thought that it would be better for Kate to pursue modeling seriously when she finished high school.  Today, a year out of high school, she has decided to follow this path and intends on joining a modeling agency in Melbourne. She was approached by Darren after being selected as Brisbane Semi-finalist in the Miss FHM University competition.  She has been doing shoots with him since then.  She has a natural connection with the camera and is very eager to break into the photographic modeling field.
