Biography

Narelle Minchin hails from the capital city of Northern Territory, Darwin, Australia.  She was virtually unknown to the glamour & entertainment industry until recently, when she was announced the winner at the Miss Hawaiian Tropics Australia 2004, as well as clinching the title for Miss Photogenic in this competition.

In a short span of just over a month, she beat other hopeful contestants for another coveted title, the Australian Swimwear Model of the Year 2004 (ASMY), giving her full exposure as the cover-model for the ASMY swimwear calendar 2005.  She stole the limelight yet again after being named Miss Photogenic when she competed against over 80 contestants at the Miss Hawaiian Tropic International Pageant, held at the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino Las Vegas, USA.  She was also featured on the Australian version of the Ralph magazine September issue 2004, as well as on their website.  It was a privileged for Darren and Jonathan Lee to have worked with her prior to her string of success.  The photographers nicknamed her, a “Barbie Doll”, because of her grace, elegance, and “mysterious” personality.  One can do a double take on her as Nicole Kidman look alike.
